Activity Description:

The Construction of Masajid is one of the most spiritually meaningful and socially impactful projects undertaken by Sirat Al-Mustaqim Welfare Foundation. This initiative is built on the understanding that a masjid serves as the heart of every Muslim community, providing not only a place for prayer but also a center for community connection, learning, and support. Through this program, the Foundation focuses on building, renovating, and expanding mosques, especially in underserved and rural areas where access to such essential religious and community spaces is limited. The goal is to ensure that even the most neglected communities have a proper, clean, and welcoming place for worship and gathering.

As part of this effort, four masajid have already been successfully constructed in different locations:

  • Charsadda
  • Peshawar
  • Islamabad
  • The United States of America (USA)

Among these, the masjid built in the USA was completed at a significant investment of approximately PKR 20 million, demonstrating the Foundation’s commitment to providing high-quality religious spaces both locally and internationally. The other masajid were constructed according to the needs and available resources of their specific areas, ensuring that each project was tailored to fit the local community’s requirements.

Understanding that the leadership of a masjid is crucial for building a strong and united community, Sirat Al-Mustaqim Welfare Foundation also takes responsibility for appointing educated and inclusive Imams. These Imams are carefully selected to promote peace, harmony, and unity, while making sure that sectarian differences are avoided. Their role is to lead by example, encourage a spirit of brotherhood, and create an environment where everyone feels welcome and respected. By providing clean, accessible, and well-maintained masajid, and ensuring they are led by spiritually grounded and socially responsible Imams, SAMWF not only supports individual spiritual growth but also strengthens entire communities. This initiative contributes to building healthier societies and more sustainable, peaceful communities, in line with the Foundation’s broader mission and the goals of sustainable development.
